The National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS) SIG is dedicated to working with CDC and other partners on improving and expanding the NVDRS program. This group was formed as a recommendation from the 2011 & 2012 NVDRS Roundtable Meeting. This group creates a venue and momentum for promoting more state ownership and participation in NVDRS by reviewing CDC program requirements, identifying and sharing best practices about implementing state NVDRS programs, and more.

The purpose of Partner & Sexual Violence SIG is to provide a forum for Safe States members to discuss and share program strategies, resources and policy initiatives aimed at reducing Partner and Sexual Violence. Through the PSVP SIG, members can engage with colleagues in violence prevention as they develop informational briefs, promote evidence-based interventions, promote educational opportunities, develop innovative policy change strategies, and develop unifying messages for social norms.
